Punjab Cabinet Meeting in Mansa: CM Mann gives nod to regularisation of teachers, recruitment of doctors

Punjab Cabinet meeting today: The Punjab Cabinet meeting took place today in Mansa under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. 

According to details shared by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann major decisions were taken during the meeting.

Regularisation of teachers 

In the historic decision, the Mann Government decided to regularise the services of 7,902 teachers who had completed 10 years of service. Apart from this, 6,337 teachers who have gap in their service and have not completed the 10 years of service will also be merged later and will be regularised. 

Recruitment of doctors 

Apart from the regularisation of the teachers, Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab Government to also recruit 1,880 doctors and nurses in the state and 435 MBBS students would be recruited for house jobs.

Water and Sanitation 

The Punjab Government also approved the annual report of the Water and Sanitation Department for 2021. 

Chit-fund fraud

In cases of chit fund fraud, the Punjab CM also announced an amendment in the 10-year sentence to the accused.

Special Assembly Session 

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also announced that the special Assembly session will take place on June 19 and 20 during which all the bills will be passed.
