PTC News Desk: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the renowned rapper Hanumankind during the 'Modi and US' event at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. This gathering was part of his three-day visit to the United States. In addition to Hanumankind, PM Modi embraced fellow artists Aditya Gadhvi and Devi Sri Prasad, both of whom performed at the event.

The Kerala-born rapper, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, captured the audience's attention with his electrifying performance, which quickly went viral on social media. Videos showcased the crowd enthusiastically enjoying his act, dancing in their seats as Hanumankind delivered his vibrant set.

Following his performance, he had a warm exchange with PM Modi, who shook his hand and offered a hug, praising him for his captivating show. Before the embrace, PM Modi enthusiastically exclaimed, "Jai Hanuman."

Singer Aditya Gadhvi also took the stage, performing for an audience of 13,500 attendees. He gained widespread popularity last year with his hit song "Khalasi," which tells the story of a sailor embarking on adventures along the shores of Gujarat. Composer Devi Sri Prasad, known for his work in films like Pushpa: The Rise and Waltair Veerayya, was present and had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister as well.

The event celebrated Indian culture, with members of the Indian diaspora from Tamil Nadu showcasing the traditional 'Parai' drum. Earlier in the day, a group performed Mallakhamb, an acrobatic art form that originated in Maharashtra, outside Nassau Coliseum, adding to the vibrant cultural display.

Hanumankind is rapidly becoming a prominent figure in mainstream hip-hop, with popular tracks such as "Big Dawgs," "Rush Hour," "Genghis," and "Go To Sleep." Having spent his formative years in Texas, he has infused his music with Texas-inspired sounds, especially evident in the "Big Dawgs" music video, blending desi and global elements seamlessly.
