Parkash Singh Badal birth anniversary: SAD observes day as 'Sadbhavana Diwas'; blood donation camps held across Punjab
PTC Web Desk: On the occasion of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal's birth anniversary, the Shiromani Akali Dal is observing this day as a day of harmony and goodwill, termed as 'Sadbhavana Diwas'. Various districts in Punjab have organised blood donation camps to mark the occasion.
The blood donation camps across Punjab has been organised in all 117 assembly constituencies of Punjab in remembrance of political stalwart Sardar Parkash Singh Badal's birth anniversary.
Parkash Singh Badal, who served as the Chief Minister of Punjab five times, is remembered for his significant contributions to the state. Even today, political leaders from different parties remember and honour his legacy.
In Dabwali, Sirsa, Haryana, a statue of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal was erected alongside one of Tau Devi Lal, emphasising the recognition and respect accorded to Sardar Badal's stature in the region.
Paying a tribute to Sardar Parkash Singh Badal and unveiling the statue of former Chief Minister of Punjab, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said, “Tau Devi Lal and Sardar Prakash Singh Badal always did their best for the poor farmers. We got the blessings of both here today.”
“Both these statues are symbols of brotherhood of Haryana and Punjab and are example of goodwill for the coming generations,” Dushyant Chautala added.
This gesture signifies the enduring reverence and remembrance of Parkash Singh Badal's legacy, uniting individuals from diverse political backgrounds to honour his contributions.
