Today's Google Doodle: Google is renowned for creating imaginative and interactive doodles on noteworthy occasions. Google Doodle is commemorating the start of the Summer Olympics in 2024 today. This year's Summer Olympics will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
Athletes and fans alike are sharing their excitement for the event in a plethora of enthusiastic posts across many platforms. The search engine behemoth also changed the 'Google' logo on its homepage to an image of some animals having fun during the summer to commemorate the event. The vivid and colourful artwork will be displayed all day on Friday.

Today is the formal start of the Olympics in Paris. The opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26 on the Seine River, which passes through Paris. August 11 is the day of the closing ceremony, which will feature a flag and athlete procession.
Preliminary rounds of rugby, handball, soccer, and archery were held on July 24, two days before to the official opening ceremony. Interestingly, 117 Indian athletes—70 men and 47 women—will compete in 69 events for 95 medals. Indian competitors in Paris include weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, badminton players PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, and Chirag Shetty, as well as javelin specialist Neeraj Chopra, who is one among the favorites to win a medal.
On Saturday, July 27, following the opening ceremony, the Indian men's hockey team plays its first pool match against New Zealand at the 2024 Paris Olympics. On the same day, competitions in table tennis, boxing, shooting, and badminton begin.
