Holidays announced for service centers in Punjab

Punjab Panchayat Elections 2024 LIVE UPDATES: A total of 48,861 candidates have been selected for the Panch positions across Punjab's 13,225 gram panchayats. So far, 3,798 candidates have been unanimously elected for the position of Sarpanch, while 48,861 candidates have been selected for the Panch roles. Elections in 28 gram panchayats have been cancelled, and one has been halted. As a result, voting will now take place for 9,398 gram panchayats on Tuesday.
Punjab Panchayat Elections 2024 LIVE UPDATES: Panchayat elections are being held in Punjab today, with voting scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Currently, the state has 13,937 gram panchayats where elections will take place.
The administration has completed all necessary preparations for the smooth conduct of the polls. The Election Commission has appointed 23 observers across the state to oversee the process.
