NEET PG counselling 2024 schedule to be announced soon | Details Inside

PTC News Desk: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule shortly on its official website, mcc.nic.in. As per reports, the registration process for NEET PG counselling is anticipated to begin on September 20, 2024. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the MCC website for updates regarding the official release of the counselling schedule.

This year's NEET PG exam was held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, conducted in two shifts. The first shift ran from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the second shift from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. A total of 1,07,959 candidates appeared in the first shift out of 1,14,276 registered, while 6,317 were absent. In the second shift, 1,08,177 candidates sat for the exam, with 6,087 absentees from the 1,14,264 registered candidates.


The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the NEET PG results on August 23, 2024, which can be accessed at natboard.edu.in. While the results were announced earlier, candidates can now download their individual scorecards, containing detailed performance information, from September 10, 2024, via the same website.

NEET PG Counselling 2024: Seat Distribution

The NEET PG counselling process will cover multiple seat categories, including:

  1. 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats: From all states, with the participation of Union Territory of J&K subject to contribution of seats.

  2. 100% seats from Central Universities: Including Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and other Central Institutes.

  3. 100% seats from Deemed Universities.

  4. 50% AIQ PG seats from ESIC colleges: Reserved for the wards of insured persons.

  5. All PG seats from Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (for registration purposes).

  6. Seats from Central Institutes: Including VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital, and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur, covering 50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P. University.

Documents Required for NEET PG Counselling 2024

To participate in the NEET PG 2024 counselling, candidates will need the following documents:

  • NEET PG 2024 admit card
  • NEET PG 2024 result or rank letter
  • Class 10th marksheet or birth certificate
  • MBBS degree and marksheets
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Permanent or provisional registration certificate from MCI/SMC
  • Valid photo ID proof (PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, or Aadhaar card)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
