‘Hello Mumbai’ says Apple as Tim Cook welcomes customers to India’s first retail store
Mumbai, April 18: Today marks a major milestone for Apple in India. The tech giant has been active in the country for over two decades, setting up its first office in the country in 2006. It began online sales in India in 2017 and recently launched its first online store in the country.
The two retail stores are seen as a sign of Apple's commitment to India, which is the world's second-biggest smartphone market.

At the store opening, Tim Cook welcomed customers and said, "We are incredibly excited to be here and can't wait to connect with our customers and introduce them to our latest products."
The store, designed by Apple's chief design officer Jony Ive, has a grand staircase and a boardroom for customers to attend Today at Apple sessions.

The tech giant is also launching special iPhone 12 series mannequins and Apple Watch bands in India.
