Chandigarh changes rules: Shops now open 24/7, seven days a week
PTC News Desk: As of right now, Chandigarh shops are open for business seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, thanks to a new policy that encourages economic expansion in the city. Bars, pubs, and liquor stores are not covered by this judgment; they will still be subject to the current excise laws.
The decision to permit businesses, such as eateries, confectionaries, supermarkets, and apparel stores, to operate 24/7 is a component of the endeavour to boost the local economy and meet the various demands of the populace.

All qualified facilities may now operate around the clock under the new policy, with the exception of bars and pubs, which are still subject to unique excise laws dictating their operating hours.
