PTC News Desk: Boulders tumbled down into the Uttarakhand trekking route, causing at least three fatalities and two injuries.

On Sunday, the incident occurred close to Gauri Kund. Soon after learning of the occurrence, a rescue crew arrived at the location. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami posted on X, expressing his sorrow over the event and stating he was in communication with authorities.

It is quite tragic to learn that some pilgrims were hurt by large stones and debris that fell from the slope next to the Kedarnath Yatra route. Work is underway at the disaster scene to provide relief and rescue operations. A approximate translation of Dhami's tweet in Hindi was, "I am in constant contact with the officials in this regard."

"I have instructed that the individuals hurt in the collision receive better care right away. The Chief Minister prayed, "May God grant the departed souls a place at His feet and give the bereaved family strength to bear this immense sorrow."

On July 19, after sporadic rainfall, a landslide caused debris to impede the Tanakpur Champawat National Highway. A landslide on the hill near the Patal Ganga Langsi tunnel on the Badrinath National Highway earlier on July 10 obstructed the route.

After being stopped by a landslide, traffic has partially resumed on the Badrinath National Highway near Joshimath.

The past few days have seen a lot of rain-fall on areas of Uttarakhand, causing landslides in the hills and blocking the Badrinath route at multiple locations with debris.
