'To strengthen farmers' protest, we've decided to hold two more rallies': Rakesh Tikait
As farmers' protest at Delhi borders completed seven months, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait announced that farmers would hold two more rallies. After a meeting which was held on Saturday, it was decided to strengthen the ongoing farmers' protest. "We have decided to hold two more rallies," he said. On the night of July 24, they will halt at Meerut toll and on July 25, the rally will reach here (Delhi-Ghazipur), Bharatiya Kisan Union leader said. Farmers on Saturday hold “Kheti bachao, loktantra bachao” diwas and submitted a memorandum to the Governors of various states. It may be recalled that there have been no talks between the Centre and farmers after Republic Day violence in Delhi. Farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. -PTC News
