Three militants killed in encounter in J-K's Shopian
Three militants were gunned down in an encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday morning. The encounter broke out in Shopian district in the early hours of Thursday.

Security forces received an input about the presence of the ultras in the area. Based on intelligence reports security forces launched an anti-militancy operation in Yarwan forest area of the district.

The authorities have as a precautionary measure suspended Internet services in the operations area to prevent the spread of misinformation.
