Swine flu claims 210 lives in Rajasthan in one year
Swine flu has claimed around 210 lives in Rajasthan in the year 2018. More than 2,192 positive cases have been reported between January 1 and December 21, 2018, from across the state. According to the media reports, the highest number of deaths and positive cases were reported from Jaipur, second in the list is Kota and Jodhpur comes third in place.

In Jaipur, swine flu claimed the lives of 38 people and 884 positive cases were reported. In Kota, swine flu has claimed 29 deaths and 400 positive cases.

Briefing media, Director of Department of Health, VK Mathur said, "even now close monitoring is underway to identify individual cases and monitor their family members and relatives.” Because of the rise in deaths and positive cases, the comprehensive screening was done in school and many other places to identify more people with swine flu.

He further said that “the medicine Tamiflu is available in abundance. This medicine must be taken on the advice of doctor only.”
