Sukhbir Badal sits on dharna; demands arrest of perpetrators of attack in Jalalabad
Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Akali workers were attacked on Tuesday morning while they were on their way to Jalalabad to file his party's nomination papers.

His vehicle was vandalized and firing was also carried out on which Sukhbir Singh Badal's worker was shot.
The attack was led by the son of Congress MLA Raminder Awla, whose pictures have also surfaced in the media. While the attack has been condemned by the Shiromani Akali Dal workers, a big statement was made by Sukhbir Singh Badal after the attack.
Mr. Badal said that today's attack clearly shows that there are goons in Congress because such a large scale attack cannot be carried out without the help and appreciation of the police and CM of the state.

Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal is now sitting on a dharna demanding arrest of the accused after the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Akali workers in Jalalabad.
A case of firing on Shiromani Akali Dal candidates while they were filing nominations has come to light in Jalalabad tehsil complex. Meanwhile, Congress men pelted stones on the vehicle of Sukhbir Singh Badal who had rushed to fill up the nominations of Shiromani Akali Dal candidates.
Despite the Shiromani Akali Dal maintaining peace under the direction of Mr. Badal, the beleaguered Congressmen started firing directly at the Akali Dal workers. Two Shiromani Akali Dal workers were critically injured in the firing and were rushed to a government hospital.
The Congress workers and the goons from outside, who were already ready for the conspiracy, broke the barricade and attacked the Shiromani Akali Dal workers, they also injured several Akali Dal workers with sticks, weapons and bricks and stones.
