Stopped from eloping, girl stabs mother to death
A girl, who was stopped from eloping with her Facebook boyfriend, stabbed her mother with a kitchen knife on Tuesday in Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu. The accused has been identified as Devi Priya (19) was studying in college.

The accused Devi Priya developed a love for her facebook friend, Vivek. He wanted to take the accused to his hometown. Vivek was working in a garment shop. They both made a plan to elope.

As he was busy in his garment shop, he sent his two friends Satish and Vignesh to Devi Priya’s house to pick her up. When accused’s mother Banumathy saw her packed bags, she confronted her and tried stopping her.

Devi Priya got angry and took the kitchen knife and stabbed her mother to death. As soon as these three planned to escape, the villagers spotted blood on their shirts. The villagers then nabbed them and handed over to the police.

Police has registered a case against them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
