World Cup 2023: Pakistan team's memorable arrival in India; warm welcome, delicious cuisine and cricket fever

PTC Web Desk: Amidst the anticipation and warm welcome from fans, the Pakistan cricket team, which will be playing warm-up game against New Zealand as part of World Cup 2023 preparations on Friday, has arrived in Hyderabad after the timely clearance of their visas. Babar Azam and his squad were greeted with enthusiastic cheers as they set foot on Indian soil, a heartening moment that they shared on their social media accounts.

Hyderabad has not only witnessed their dedicated training sessions, but also served them a delectable culinary experience, reminding everyone of the role that food plays in an athlete's regimen.

As the team gears up for their warm-up game against New Zealand on Friday, their early hours in India have been nothing short of memorable. Beyond the cricket field, the team's dietary preferences have come into focus. As per reports, with beef not being available to all teams, Pakistan's players have opted for a protein-rich diet that includes chicken, mutton, and fish. Their menu features delectable dishes such as grilled lamb chops, mutton curry, the iconic butter chicken, and grilled fish.

The report further adds that carbohydrates are equally crucial, and the team has requested steamed basmati rice, spaghetti in Bolognese sauce, a favourite of cricket legend Shane Warne, and vegetarian pulao to meet their energy needs. And, of course, no visit to Hyderabad would be complete without indulging in the famed Hyderabadi biryani.

As Pakistan readies for their first ODI World Cup match against New Zealand on October 6, their journey in India promises to be a flavourful and memorable experience, both on and off the cricket pitch.
