Former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza shared her first Instagram post after the public announcement of her divorce from Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. 

Taking to her Instagram handle, tennis star Sania Mirza shared a picture with a caption ‘Reflect.’  with an image of her looking in the mirror.

Shoaib and Sania got married in 2010 and have lived in Dubai ever since. They announced the birth of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018.

Earlier, this week Anam Mirza, the sister of retired Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, confirmed her divorce from former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik on Sunday. She said that they had been legally separated for 'some months.'

On Instagram, Anam, who is married to former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin's son Assaduddin, said: "Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today, the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!"

Shoaib Malik ties knot with Sana Javed

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik recently made headlines on January 20, surprising fans by tying the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed. He took to his Instagram to officially confirm the joyous occasion, sharing a photo with the caption, "Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs." 

Earlier also rumors circulated about a potential romance between Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed. The speculation gained momentum when the Pakistani cricketer extended birthday wishes to the actor last year. Shoaib Malik had stoked the flames by sharing a photo of the two on his Instagram, captioned, "Happy Birthday Buddy."
