Rahul Dravid's son to join team that his dad once coached to World Cup glory
PTC News Desk: Samit Dravid, Rahul Dravid's son, is all set to join India’s Under 19 squads for the upcoming home series against Australia. The former India captain's son will play in both the white-ball and red-ball squads when IND U-19 hosts AUS U-19 in a multi-format series. Notably, Samit's father coached India's Under-19 squad to victory at the 2018 ICC U19 World Cup.
Notably, 18-year-old Samit recently competed in the Maharaja T20 Trophy for the Mysuru Warriors. However, his performance was disappointing, as he only scored 82 runs in seven innings, averaging 11.71 with a strike rate of 113.88.
Mohamed Amman has been named captain of the 50-over team. Amman is a middle-order batsman who represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. Soham Patwardhan, who represents Madhya Pradesh in Indian domestic cricket, will captain the four-day series against Australia.
