PTC Web Desk: Indian cricket team fast bowler Mohammed Shami recently addressed the swirling rumours linking him to tennis star Sania Mirza. Social media has been rife with speculation, fueled by manipulated images suggesting that Shami and Sania are on the verge of getting married.

In a candid interaction on YouTube, Mohammed Shami was asked about these rumours and he did not hold back in his criticism of those responsible for spreading such false information.

Shami expressed his frustration over the baseless rumours. "It is strange and done purposely for some lame fun. But what can be done? If I open my phone, I see those memes," Shami said. He highlighted the negative impact of such rumours, noting that while memes and jokes can provide entertainment, they can also cause harm when they involve real people's lives.

"Memes are made for fun, but if they are related to someone's life, then you must think about it before sharing. These people share from unverified pages and get away with saying anything and everything," he added.

Shami urged people to be more thoughtful and responsible when sharing content online. He pointed out that the anonymity and lack of accountability on social media platforms often lead to the spread of false and damaging information. "I urge everyone to be responsible with social media and refrain from spreading such unfounded news," he added.

The fast bowler also challenged those spreading rumours to come forward with verified accounts. "If you have the guts, say all these things from a verified page, then I will respond. Pulling someone down is very easy. Achieve success, help people, and improve yourself. Then I will consider you a good person," Shami said.

"It is easy to drag someone down, but real success comes from uplifting others and improving oneself," he said.
