India vs England T20 World Cup 2024: Crucial clash for final berth IND vs ENG match time and where to watch
PTC News Desk: At Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, the men's cricket team from India will play England in the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
At 8:00 PM IST, the IND vs. ENG T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final will begin. India will have access to live telecasts and streaming.
The T20 World Cup has been won by both India and England. The men's cricket team from India, captained by MS Dhoni, won the title for the first time in 2007; the current champions, England, won it twice, in 2010 and 2022.
It's interesting to note that the two teams squared off again in the 2022 edition's semi-finals, with Jos Buttler and Alex Hales leading the England cricket team to victory by 10 wickets. To win their second T20 title, England went on to defeat Pakistan in the championship match.
India lost to Sri Lanka in the 2014 T20 World Cup final, their most recent appearance.
India has won all of its games in the T20 World Cup 2024, and earlier this week, they defeated Australia in their final Super 8 match to guarantee a top four finish.
Following their victory over Ireland to start the tournament, they defeated Pakistan in a low-scoring thriller thanks to the heroics of Jasprit Bumrah. Prior to the cancellation of their last group match against Canada, they secured the top spot by defeating the co-hosts, the United States.
They easily dispatched Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the Super 8 stage before defeating Australia, who had beaten them in the ODI World Cup final the previous year. India's top players in the competition thus far have been captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh; Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has found it difficult to score runs.
Conversely, England barely made it through the group stage. They beat the West Indies easily to start the Super 8 on a high note, but a loss to South Africa put an end to their momentum. In their last game, they needed to defeat the USA handily, and an impressive all-around performance delivered just that. They defeated the co-hosts by 10 wickets with 62 balls remaining, which greatly increased their net run rate and guaranteed them a spot in the semi-finals.
Phil Salt and Jos Buttler have led England's challenge in the Americas. Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid have both claimed wickets.

India vs England T20 head-to-head
In their 23 T20 International meetings, India and England have a very balanced record. With 12 wins compared to England's 11 victories, the Men in Blue are just ahead.
In their four encounters in the T20 World Cup, both countries have won two games apiece.
Yuvraj Singh's six sixes in their 2007 T20 World Cup matchup against South Africa helped India to a historic victory in Durban. In the 2012 edition, they also triumphed by 90 runs over the Three Lions, bowling England out for 80 while they were chasing 171.
