PTC News Desk: India defeated South Africa in a thrilling final to win their second T20 World Cup, capping a 17-year drought for the coveted trophy. A spectacular triumph took place at Kensington Oval in Barbados, filled with memorable moments and poignant emotions.

The penultimate over's hero was star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who showed steely nerves in defending 16 runs.


Pandya, overcome by the event, just sat down on the field as former head coach and pundit Ravi Shastri declared, "India win the T20 World Cup after 17 years."


Exhausted but happy, Captain Rohit Sharma lay flat on the ground.
