Indian off-spinner R Ashwin announces retirement from all formats of cricket
PTC News Desk: Indian Off-spinner R Ashwin has announced retirement from all the formats of cricket on Wednesday December 18. While addressing a press conference along with captain Rohit Sharma at the Gabba in Brisbane, the off-spinner confirmed his decision, saying it was his last as Indian cricketer.
While substantiating the decision, Captain Rohit Sharma further said that he will not be staying with the team for remaining matches of the series and will be heading back to India.
"This will be my last day as an Indian cricket in all formats of the game at the international level. I do feel there is a bit of punch left in me in a cricketer. I would like to showcase that in club-level cricket. So this will be my last day. I have had a lot of fun. I must say I've created a lot of memories alongside Rohitt and several of my teammates," Ashwin said at the press conference.
