PTC News Desk: Thousands of people flocked to Mumbai's streets to see the Indian cricket team's open-bus winning parade during the Twenty20 World Cup, creating a festive mood. The open bus procession began at Marine Drive and ended at Wankhede Stadium upon the arrival of the Indian team in Mumbai.
When a fan climbed the tree to get a better look at the squad's celebration as the bus passed him, it was evident how much the fans loved seeing their team. On social media, a video of the identical incident went viral. Virat Kohli and other Indian players were even spotted laughing about the same thing.

When the Indian players arrived in the nation after winning the T20 World Cup last week, they were greeted like heroes.
Early on Thursday morning, the squad arrived at the nation's capital. Following a lengthy trip from Barbados and some rest, the players met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A ceremony of congratulations was arranged by Prime Minister Modi for the players and support staff. He also hosted breakfast for the players before they left in the evening for Mumbai.

During the triumphant procession in Mumbai from Marine Drive to Wankhade Stadium, the players were met with an enthusiastic reception on an open-air bus.
Clapping and yells of delight greeted the team from a sea of ecstatic supporters, riding high on the highs of a World Cup victory. The players waved and grinned at the fans, expressing their reciprocation.
The T20 World Cup 2024 trophy was lifted by captain Rohit Sharma and ace batsman Virat Kohli, who displayed it to the throngs of supporters waiting along the road.
As the team triumphed, Rohit gripped the hands of batter Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Rahul Dravid, raising them to the skies. The group eventually arrived at Wankhede Stadium. After the winning parade, there was also a felicitation event at the Wankhade Stadium.
