T20 World Cup 2024 | 'Diwali ho ya Holi, Anushka loves Kohli' : Fans chanting slogans for Virat Kohli go viral during IND vs USA match

T20 World Cup 2024 | India defeated the United States by seven wickets at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Wednesday. The win assured India's Super Eight spot as the team currently has 6 points with one game remaining in Group A. 

Captain Rohit Sharma stated that it was a "big relief" for him after India advanced to the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup.


India earned a hard-fought victory after the seasoned duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were dismissed quickly in the opening three overs.

Despite Virat Kohli getting dismissed early within the first three overs, the crowd's enthusiasm hasn't waned. 

They persist with their unique and witty chants to grab the attention of their beloved Kohli. 

Besides the chants such as “Kohli ko bowling do” (Give some bowling to Kohli) and “5 rupay ki Pepsi, Kohli bhai sexy,” the fans at Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York introduced a new chant which involved Anushka Sharma to catch attention of King Kohli

Kohli was fielding near the boundary when fans’ excitement soared to cheer Kohli in a unique way by chanting "Diwali or Holi, Anushka Loves Kohli.”

In response to the chants, Kohli turned around and acknowledged the fans' greetings when they chanted these slogans. Kohli's response has won the hearts of the fans. 

Coming to the match, Arshdeep's pace blitz, followed by Suryakuamar Yadav and Shivam Dube's 72-run partnership, ensured India maintained their unbeaten run in the ongoing T20 World Cup as they clinched a 7-wicket win over the co-hosts USA at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. 

India became the first team to qualify for the Super 8 from Group 'A' on Wednesday, defeating the United States at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
