BCCI tightens rules for Indian Cricketers, limits family-time for entire tour after disastrous Australia series
PTC News Desk: After disastrous Australia series, Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has decided to discipline Indian cricketers and set new guidelines for the players.
According to a report, during a review meeting between BCCI officials, captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, it has been decided that the wives of Indian players won’t be allowed to stay for the entire tour.
It has also been mandated for the players to travel together in the team bus.
As per the reports the BCCI is mulling over enforcing pre-Covid rules and families of the players won't be allowed to stay over two weeks in a more than 45-day-long overseas tour. The board has pointed out that presence of family members sways the performance of players.
It has also been reported that all the Indian players will have to travel in the team bus. In the last few years, many players have preferred to travel solo, but now it won’t be the case.
Besides players, BCCI has also suggested guidelines for Head coach Gautam Gambhir's manager and decided to prevent him from from staying in the team hotel. He will also not be allowed to watch the matches from the VIP box.
