Sonia Gandhi in hospital due to Covid-related issues; stable
New Delhi, June 12: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital due to Covid-related issues on Sunday.
The throat infection team and ENT specialist are examining her, sources said.
Giving out details, the party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that Gandhi is in a stable condition and will be kept at the hospital for observation.
"Congress President, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital today owing to Covid-related issues. She is stable and will be kept at the hospital for observation. We thank all the Congress men and women as also all well-wishers for their concern and good wishes," Randeep Singh Surjewala said on Twitter.

Sonia Gandhi had earlier tested positive for Covid-19 infection on June 2.
After testing Covid positive, the Congress chief had sought more time from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear before it for questioning in a money-laundering case.
According to the sources at the agency, ED had issued a fresh summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear before it for questioning on June 23. The probe agency had also summoned her son and former party president Rahul Gandhi on June 13 for questioning in the case.
