Similar statements of Tarun Chug, Sukhpal Khaira indicate Cong' MLA's shift to BJP
Chandigarh, August 3: In an interesting turn of events, Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chug on Wednesday released similar statements while targeting the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
After noticing a startling similarity between the statements released by the two politicians, political enthusiasts speculated whether the Congress leader is switching to the saffron party.
Former national spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal Parambans Singh Romana also speculated on the possibility of Sukhpal Khaira joining the BJP.
Sharing the screenshots of the statements from two leaders, he tweeted, "Congress MLA @SukhpalKhaira and BJP National Gen Secy @tarunchughbjp release same worded press note, ditto to even a coma and full stop."
"Who is feeding whom or is Khaira the next BJP import?" he asked.

Earlier in the day, BJP leader Chug expressed worry about the "resignation of government doctors after humiliation and insult heaped on internationally renowned Dr Raj Bahadur, Vice Chancellor of the Baba Farid Medical University."
He said, "the Bhagwant Mann government has been trying to intimidate the doctors to cover up its inefficiency in improving the health services in the state."
"Neither the state health minister has been pulled up for his rude and unprofessional conduct, nor has the state government accepted the resignation of Dr Raj Bahadur. Is the AAP government trying to say that it would treat the eminent doctor, who is running his third term as Vice-chancellor as a puppet?" he further said.
Interestingly, an exact similar statement was released by Congress MLA Sukhpar Khiara on that day, raising speculation about him joining BJP.
