Sidhu Moosewala murder: Deepak Mundi, aides brought to Rajpura CIA office, interrogation continues
Rajpura, September 12: Moosewala shooter Deepak Mundi and his two associates have been brought to the Rajpura CIA office for further interrogation in the murder, said sources on Monday. The three accused - Deepak, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder - were sent to six-day police remand, after which the Mansa Police reportedly brought them to the CIA office in Rajpura last night, where they are being investigated amid tight security. Shooter Deepak will be produced before Court on September 17. Notably, Deepak Mundi and his two associates - Kapil Pandit and Rajinder - were arrested by Nepal Police on Saturday near the West Bengal-Nepal border. Kapil Pandit, during interrogation, said that he along with Sachin Bishnoi and Santosh Yadav had conducted a recce in Mumbai to target Salman Khan on the instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi. Meanwhile, Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav, updating on the Sidhu Moosewala murder case said that "a total of 23 accused have been arrested so far. Two accused were neutralised in an encounter and so far 35 accused nominated." According to Gaurav Yadav, DGP Punjab Police, Deepak who was the shooter in the incident, was provided logistical support by the remaining two persons who were arrested along with him. Singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by assailants in Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The tragic incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.
