Sidhu Moosewala murder case: Punjab Police present 1,850-page chargesheet in Mansa court; nominate 36 accused
Mansa, August 26: The Punjab Police on Friday presented a Rs 1,850-page chargesheet in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder case. As many as 36 persons, including mastermind Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, have been nominated in the FIR.
In the chargesheet, the names of 24 murderers have been mentioned. The names of four gangsters sitting abroad — Goldie Brar, Lipin Nehra, Sachin Thapan and Anmol — have been mentioned in the chargesheet. There are a total of 122 witnesses whose names have been mentioned in the chargesheet. They included eyewitnesses, friends present at the time of the murder of Moosewala and doctors who conducted the postmortem.
Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura said 20 persons had been arrested in this case while two shooters died in the encounter.
The name of Sandeep Kekra, who did the recce of Moosewala, has also been included in this chargesheet. Apart from this, the names of shooters Priyavart Fauji, Ankit Sersa and Kashish alias Kuldeep are also there. Shooters Manpreet Manu and Jagroop Rupa, who were killed in the encounter in Amritsar, have also been named.
Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura said the angle of old enmity was also being investigated. For this, the police were in touch with Moosewala's parents.
The challan against the gangsters sitting abroad has been submitted in the court and the process of their extradition would be started soon.
The Mansa SSP said two pistols used in Moosewala's murder have been recovered from Manu and Rupa killed in the Amritsar encounter.
Earlier in the day, the Mansa police named two more accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case and both of them are associated with the music industry. The police are yet to reveal their names. Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh had sent a complaint to the DGP in this regard. Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa on May 29.

In his complaint, Moosewala's father alleged that initially, both accused were associated with Sidhu and had cordial relations with his son.

However, sources said both of them started grabbing the earnings of Moosewala's stage shows and Moosewala would get only a small part of the earnings. Following this, Moosewala "severed his ties with them". Both these accused then started threatening Moosewala. They reportedly challenged him to do a show in Canada. Moosewala accepted the challenge and the show as a big hit.
Sources said both accused then created a YouTube channel through which Moosewala's songs were leaked. As per reliable sources, there is another Punjabi singer on hit-list of Balkaur Singh.
