Senior SAD leader and former speaker Nirmal Singh Kahlo dies at 79
Chandigarh, July 16: Former speaker and senior SAD leader Nirmal Singh Kahlon passes away at 79.
He was a minister of Rural Development and Panchayats state of Punjab from 1997 to 2002 and Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly from 2007 to 2012.

Various leaders including Shiromani Akali Dal Patron Parkash Singh Badal, President Sukhbir Singh Badal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have expressed grief over the death of Nirmal Singh Kahlon.
