SAD to stage "Chakka Jam" on Sept 25 to support farmers' protest; details inside
Punjab Chakka Jam: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will organize "Chakka Jam" on September 25 to support farmers' protest over three farm bills.
During a virtual meeting with the party leaders, it has been decided that to protest against the agriculture bills, the whole Punjab will witness "Chakka Jam" for three hours from 11 am to 1 pm on September 25 i.e. Friday.

SAD leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema informed that "In every districts of Punjab, a senior SAD leader along with Farmers and Khet Mazdoor will peacefully stage "Chakka Jam" for three hours."
From September 26 to 29, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal will visit various districts of Punjab to launch the mass contact programme. He will also tell workers about the loss of farmers due to these bills, Cheema added.

On October 1, Shiromani Akali Dal led by Sukhbir Singh Badal will stage a 'Rosh Pradarshan' and will reach Mohali's Dussehra ground. Then, the delegation will meet Governor VP Singh Badnore.
On Monday, a delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal led by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal met President Ram Nath Kovind requesting him not to sign on ‘anti-farmer’ bills that have been forcefully passed in Rajya Sabha.
