Reeling under debt burden, farmer ends life in Ludhiana
Reeling under a debt , a farmer allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Racheen village in Ludhiana district on Wednesday.The deceased has been identified as 47 year old Gurmeet Singh.

The family took him to the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana, but he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

The police said the deceased’s family said, his brother was upset for the past few days due to debt. Meanwhile,the police has initiated an inquest proceedings under section 174 of CrPC.
