Rani Mukerji back as Shivani Shivaji Roy in 'Mardaani 2'
Rani Mukherji is back as a feisty police cop in Mardaani 2 as Shivani Shivaji Roy. She has started shooting for her new project today. Mardaani 2 will be a follow up of Mardaani 1 which was 2014 critically acclaimed hit.

Production house Yash Raj Films shared a picture from the sets of the cop drama on their official Twitter account.
"#RaniMukerji starts shooting for #Mardaani2 | @Mardaani2," the caption read.

According to media reports, the production banner is starting the ‘Mardaani’ franchise with this project. The movie will be directed by debutant director Gopi Puthran. The ‘Mardaani’ was directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
