Rana Gurjit Singh (MLA-Kapurthala)
Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Indian Politician Rana Gurjeet Singh is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) and an MLA from Kapurthala. He was born on April 19, 1956, in Vikrampur, Distt Udham Singh Nagar, Uttranchal. Rana Gurjit Singh is a Cabinet Minister of Punjab and current MLA of Kapurthala Assembly Constituency. From 2004 to 2009, he represented the Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency of Punjab. Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjit Singh was elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha thrice i.e. in 2002, 2012, and 2017. He also won the 2017 assembly elections with a margin of 28817 votes. He also served as the member of the Public Accounts Committee and Government Assurances & Privileges Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Member Sugarcane Board, Department of Agriculture, Punjab; Member of Steering Committee for Conversation and Management of Harike and Ropar Wetlands, Department of Science, Technology, and Environment, Punjab for 3 Years; Member of Senate, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Vice President, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.
