Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), September 14: A two-day meeting was conducted in Ayodhya to assess the progress of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple construction. Following the meeting, work on the three-story superstructure of the Ram temple, which includes the Garbh Griha and five Mandaps on the ground floor, has begun in full swing. The superstructure is being built atop a 21-foot-high plinth that will support the temple's direct load. Since most ancient temples were built on natural rocky strata, the Ram temple consortium of engineers chose granite stone for the plinth work. The Granite Stone plinth, which began in February 2022, is now completed. According to Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the construction committee, the Parkota's superstructure would be built of carved Red Rajasthan Sandstone from Bansi Paharpur, district Bharatpur. Parkota's RCC retaining wall and foundation are being constructed according to schedule. Construction of Ram Mandir begins, Iron wouldn't be used The masterplan for the complex's remaining area is being finalised, with temples dedicated to Rishi Valmiki, Acharya Vashisth, Rishi Viswamitra, Agastya Rishi, Nishad, Jatayu, and Mata Sabri planned.
