Rakesh Tikait: Protest will continue, Govt responsible for any mishappening

Following the incident at the Red Fort on January 26, the government has issued orders to evacuate all the borders. For which a police force has also been deployed at the Delhi, Ghazipur border. After all the incidents that took place on Thursday evening during the agitation, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has threatened to commit suicide. He said, "Whatever happens to me, the administration will be responsible." adding, "I will not allow the farmers to be ruined,". He stated that conspiracy is being hatched to kill the farmers. Rakesh Tikait on Ghazipur border said that he wanted to surrender but the BJP MLAs had beaten up our people. There are plans to beat our people along the way. Rakesh Tikait said that now we will not go from here, we will just sit here. Unless the villagers fetch water by tractors, I will not drink water. The administration has stopped the supply of water, cut off power, and removed all facilities. The government has issued orders to evacuate all the borders following the incident at Red Fort on January 26. Police have issued notices under Section 133 of the CRPC to the protesting farmers at the Ghazipur border, asking them to hold a dharna and clear the border as soon as possible. Ghazipur border has been closed on both sides. The traffic police has also instructed people not to cross the Ghazipur border. Section 144 has been imposed on the Ghazipur border. Bharatiya Kisan Union, Rakesh Tikait at Ghazipur border said, "We'll continue our sit-in protest & will not vacate site till talks with government are held. Administration has removed basic facilities including water & electricity supply. We'll get water from our villages." -PTC News
