India is facing the result of a failed lockdown: Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday addressed the press conference on the coronavirus crisis, the Lockdown, and the other related issues. Rahul Gandhi said that "India is the only country where the virus is exponentially rising and we are removing the lockdown. The aim and purpose of the lockdown have failed. India is facing the result of a failed lockdown." He also said that he is interested to know from the Government how it is going to tackle the crisis going forward. "Government’s work is to govern our work as the Opposition is to put pressure on the Government so that things happen in the right way. I want to respectfully request the Government to immediately provide ‘cash injection’ into the economy," Rahul Gandhi said. Rahul Gandhi also asked the government to transparently share details of what is happening at the border with China. He said that there is no clarity on what is happening with China as also Nepal. Congress leader also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the battle against coronavirus will be won in 21 days but cases are rising exponentially. He added that India is the only country that is easing lockdown when cases are on the rise.
