Pushkar Singh Dhami to be Uttarakhand's third Chief Minister in 4 months
Uttarakhand CM: Pushkar Singh Dhami has been chosen by the Uttarakhand BJP legislature party to be the 11th Chief Minister of the state.
The development came a day after Tirath Singh Rawat resigned from his post amid infighting chances of his getting elected to the state Legislative Assembly by September 10.

Pushkar Singh Dhami is considered close to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. His name was declared after the 57 Uttarakhand BJP MLAs met at the party headquarters in the capital Dehradun.

He is a two-time legislator representing the Khatima constituency in the Kumaon region. Pushkar Singh Dhami was an Officer on Special Duty to former Uttarakhand CM Bhagat Singh Koshiyari.
Soon after being elected as leader of the BJP legislature party, Dhami thanked BJP leadership for keeping faith in him. He said that he would deal with the challenges lying ahead with everyone's cooperation.
Also, today's meeting was attended by BJP's central observer Narendra Singh Tomar. He arrived in the Dehradun at around noon along with its state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam.
