Punjabi University students stage protest over demands of water, hostel
Patiala, September 30: Punjab Students Union of Punjabi University staged protest with the students of engineering department outside the UCO department over the demands of water and hostel. While protesting against the administration, Punjab students union leader Jagsir Singh stated the students are facing the problem of water for the past one month and hostlers are not getting water since last four days due to which students and hostlers are staging protest. Also Read: Preparations underway at Chandigarh’s Sukhna Lake for Air Force Day Though, the university authority came to the spot and assured that the problem will be temporarily solved by 4 pm and will permanently be solved by Monday. The protest was led by two leaders of Punjab students’ union-Jagsir Singh and Jaspreet Singh. The students and hostlers stated that if their demands will not be fulfilled, they will intensify protest.
