Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal 'not allowed to enter Pakistan via Wagah border'

New Delhi, January 29: Punjabi singer-cum-actor Gippy Grewal was not allowed to enter Pakistan through the Wagah border, as per reports in Pakistani media. It is learnt that the Indian immigration authorities reportedly stopped him at the Attari check post. Sources in the Evacuee Propriety Trust Board (EPTB) said arrangements were in place to receive Singer Gippy Grewal at the Wagah border. He was scheduled to visit Kartarpur, Dawn news said in a report. "He was to move to Kartarpur (Narowal) at 9.30 am (on Friday) and return to Lahore by 3.30 pm. Later, Gippy Grewal was scheduled to attend a reception at Governor House. On January 29, he was to visit Nankana Sahib before his return to India," an EPTB official told Dawn. When the singer had last visited Kartarpur, he showed great warmth and love for Pakistanis and the places he visited. His visit was also given ample coverage in the Pakistani media.
