Punjab: Suresh Raina's uncle killed by robbers in Pathankot
In a major incident, a 58-year-old uncle of cricketer Suresh Raina died while 4 members of his family were injured after robbers attacked them in the Pathankot district of Punjab. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Kumar, who used to work as a government contractor. The incident took place at Thariyal village in Pathankot. The elder brother of deceased, Shyam Lal, confirmed that the victim was the cricketer Suresh Raina's uncle. He said that Raina is expected to visit the village. According to the report, the police said that three to four members of the Kale Kachhewala gang had come to loot. They attacked Ashok Kumar and his family members at their house in Thariyal village near Madhopur of Pathankot. Reportedly. they were sleeping on the terrace of their house while they were attacked. In an attack, Ashok Kumar suffered head injuries and died on the same night. According to the report, the robbers decamped with cash and gold from the house. The family members of Ashok Kumar have been identified as 80-year-old Satya Devi, his mother, his wife Asha Devi, sons Apin and Kaushal.
