Punjab Shahi Imam Hazrat Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Saani Ludhianvi passed away at a private hospital in Ludhiana following a brief illness.
The 63-year-old took his last breath on Thursday night. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and two sons.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday condoled the demise of 63-year-old Shahi Imam Punjab, Hazrat Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Sa-ani Ludhianvi, who passed away at a private hospital in Ludhiana last night.

In a condolence message, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh described the Shahi Imam, as a spiritual personality, who always propagated the message of love, peace, and harmony amongst the masses.
The Chief Minister also shared heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and relatives.
Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal tweeted: "Just got the sad news about the demise of Shahi Imam Punjab, Hazrat Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Sa-ani Ludhianvi. He contributed immensely to maintain harmony and brotherhood in Punjab. May God bless his soul & grant strength to his family and followers to bear the loss.'
