Punjab reports 4,593 new Covid-19 cases, 9 deaths in 24 hours
Coronavirus Punjab Update: Punjab reported 4,593 new cases of Covid-19 infections on Tuesday with as many as nine new casualties in the last 24 hours. As the Covid gradually rises, the poll-bound state admitted 13 new patients in ICU and 4 on ventilator support. SAS Nagar recorded 703 new coronavirus cases while Patiala (909) reported the highest number of Covid cases in Punjab. Ludhiana (678), Amritsar (455), Jalandhar (330) and Bathinda (233 ) were among the other regions with a high number of Covid-19 cases. The other districts in Punjab with low Covid cases are Barnala (28), Mansa (21 ), Ferozepur (19) and Fazilka (17). Covid patients who are critical and on ventilator support are 13 while the number of patients on oxygen support has increased to 338. Apart from a rise in Covid-19 cases in Punjab, a total of 687 patients were discharged in the state on Tuesday. Amritsar reported 33 new recoveries while Bathinda reported 52. Ferozepur (4), Gurdaspur (30), Hoshiarpur (7), Jalandhar (144), Kapurthala (17), Ludhiana (37), Muktsar (1), Pathankot (207), Ropar (17), Sangrur (2) and SAS Nagar (136) are among the districts with a high number of recoveries on Tuesday.
