Punjab Police books banned outfit SFJ’s Pannu for inciting communal hatred
Sangrur, June 21: Punjab Police have booked US-based Legal Counsel of Khalistani Terror Group Sikhs for Justice, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, for spreading hatred among different communities and conspiring to disrupt peace in Punjab.
A case has been filed against him for attempting to foment unrest among various communities and planning to disrupt the peace and tranquillity of the country, specifically Punjab.
Notably, slogans of 'Khalistan Zindabad' were spotted at the gate of Kali Mata temple in Sangrur, Punjab on June 20. In this regard, a video has gone viral on social media in which Gurpatwant Pannu proclaims his responsibility.

According to the Punjab Police, comments on the Referendum 2020 were sprayed in thick black paint over the temple's backside gate and wall. This happened ahead of a visit to Sangrur by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
After the incident, Punjab police lodged an FIR under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against secessionist group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and its legal counsel head Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.
