Punjab: Police jumps calendar and challans a road user for not wearing helmet
In a major blunder by Mohali traffic police, a man was handed over a challan in advance for not wearing a helmet. According to the information, the man has been identified as Raghvir Singh, who is a resident of Phase 5 Mohali. Mohali police has challaned him on Tuesday. Intriguingly, the date on the challan is June 22, while his encounter with police took place on July 21. The man has been challaned for violating traffic rules. As per the information, the man was penalised near ESI hospital in the Industrial Area, Phase 7, Mohali. While talking to him, he revealed that he was wearing a helmet but police accused him of jumping traffic lights. The man tried to convince the cops that he had not jumped lights but the police threatened to add on violation on his challan, Raghvir said.
