Punjab’s 3 more MLAs test positive for COVID-19
Day after Punjab Chief Minister announced that 23 MLAs were tested positive for coronavirus, three more MLAs have contracted COVID-19. According to the information, Surinder Dawar, MLA of Ludhiana Central, Darshan Singh Brar, Bagha Purana MLA and Dalvir Singh Khangura, also known as Goldy, MLA from Dhuri in Sangrur, have tested positive for COVID-19. The other MLAs who tested positive for COVID-19 include Congress MLAs Gurpreet Kangar, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Sham Sunder Arora, Hardial Kamboj, Madan Lal Jalalpur, Ajaib Singh Bhatti, Dr. Dharamvir Aghnihotri, Amit Vij, Harjot Kamal, Amrik Singh Dhillon, Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Pargat Singh, and Sanjeev Talwar. The other MLAs tested corona positive include Nazar Singh Manshahia, Shiromani Akali Dal MLAs Manpreet Singh Ayali, NK Sharma, Rozy Barkandi, Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal and Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra. Three MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party have also tested positive for coronavirus These include Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Kulwant Singh Pandori and Principal Budh Ram. Coronavirus cases in Punjab have been rising ever since the government has announced the relaxation in the restrictions imposed during the lockdown. The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 46,090 after 1,513 fresh positive cases were reported from the state on Wednesday. -PTC News
