Punjab Government releases Rs. 1.92 crore to ‘NOK’ of Galwan Valley martyrs
Recognizing the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs of Galwan valley, the Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday released an amount of Rs. 1.92 crore as Ex-Gratia, Additional relief to parents and cash in lieu of plots for payment to the Next of Kin (NOK) of the martyred soldiers hailing from Punjab. Informing this, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the amount would be directly credited into the accounts of ‘NOK’ immediately. Paying rich tributes to the martyrs, the CM said that the grateful nation would never forget the sacrifice of these brave hearts and assured that the State Government would always extend every assistance to the bereaved families.
