Punjab government orders transfer of 4 IAS officers
Punjab government on Tuesday announced the transfer of four Punjab IAS officers. As per the order issued by the Government of Punjab, signed by Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan, the postings/transfers are ordered in public interest with immediate effect. Anirudh Tewari, IAS (1990), Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Development and in addition Additional Chief Secreatry, Food Processing and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Horticulture, has been transferred. Tewari has now been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Development and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Food Processing and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Governance Reforms and Public Grievances relieving Alok Shekhar, IAS of this additional charge. Likewise, Anurag Agarwal, IAS (1990) Additional Chief Secretary, Power and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Sources and in addition Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd has been transferred. Anurag Agarwal has appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Power and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Sources in addition Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd. and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Home Affairs and Justice. Similarly, Rahul Bhandari, IAS (1997) Secretary, Higher Education and Languages and in addition Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi, has been transferred. Rahul Bhandari will now take charge as Secretary, Higher Education and Languages and in addition Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi, and in addition Secretary, Water Resources and Mission Director, Directorate of Ground Water Management relieving Gaggandip Singh Brar of these additional charges. Meanwhile, Rahul Tiwari, IAS (2000) Secretary, Employment Generation and Training and in addition Mission Director, Punjab Skill Development Mission and in addition Commissioner, Roopnagar Division, Roopnagar and in addition nodal officer, anti-drug abuse campaign (Department of Home) and in addition Secretary, Home Affairs has been transferred. Rahul Tiwari has been given the charge as Secretary, Employment Generation and Training and in addition Mission Director, Punjab Skill Development Mission and in addition Commissioner, Roopnagar Division, Roopnagar and in addition nodal officer, anti-drug abuse campaign (Department of Home) and in addition Secretary, Home Affairs has been transferred in addition Secretary, Science technology and Environment and Mission Director, Tandrust Punjab relieving Alok Shekhar from these additional charges. -PTC News
