Coronavirus Lockdown: Punjab Government issues new timings for opening shops
Punjab Government on Thursday changed the timings for the opening of shops in the state. Now, the new timings will be from 7 am to 6 pm from May 15 onwards. According to the order issued by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to immediately issue the orders regarding timings for the opening of shops accordingly. The district authorities have also been asked to ensure that there is no overcrowding and that the social distancing is maintained as advised. Punjab Government on Thursday issued an advisory for the quarantine of returnees from outside the country asymptomatic contacts in the hotel/private facilities. The State Government has allowed the quarantine of all the returnees from outside the country at private quarantine facilities. All such persons who are either asymptomatic on arrival or who have similar symptoms but test negative for COVID-19 on arrival shall be kept in strict quarantine- at home or private facilities.
