Punjab Congress 'misusing' state machinery, says SAD
Chandigarh, January 28: Harcharan Bains, Principal Adviser to Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal today accused Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Home Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa of misusing their constitutional powers.

He said that Channi and Randhawa sitting in these key positions have endangered the border state and national security. Harcharan Bains said that by holding the most important intelligence wing of Punjab Police accountable to a private company, the ruling government of Punjab has disturbed the peace and tranquility of the state.
A spokesperson of the Shiromani Akali Dal said that they had approached the Election Commission of India on this issue and demanded immediate transfer of all the senior police officers.
In a complaint to the Election Commission, the Shiromani Akali Dal accused the ruling Congress government of misusing the government machinery. He also accused the state government of spying on politicians.

During his press conference, Harcharan Bains raised serious questions on Sidhu's Punjab model, citing allegations leveled by Navjot Singh Sidhu's alleged sister against a Congress politician for usurping his ancestral property and disrespect caused to their dead parents.
