Punjab Congress leader withdraws petition seeking stay on the screening of “The Accidental Prime Minister”
Punjab Congress leader and Sports Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi’s son Anumit Singh Hira Sodhi withdrew his petition seeking stay on the screening of “The Accidental Prime Minister”.

The petitioner Anumit Singh on Tuesday had filed a petition before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, challenging the certification of the movie.

The petitioner had sought quashing the screening of the movie as the movie challenges and question’s the integrity of the Prime Minister’s Office.

The “The Accidental Prime Minister” is based on book written by Sanjaya Baru, former media advisor to ex – Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The movie is all set to hit the cinema on Friday.
